The first of the Chrisgate Group companies was formed by Terry Cain when Chrisgate Limited was incorporated on 20th December 1973. Chrisgate Limited was and remains today a family owned and run Property Investment Company.

 

Initially, Chrisgate Limited traded as residential House Builders and Developers working in the Swindon area covering an eighteen mile radius of the town.

 

Shortly after Chrisgate Limited was formed, the company acquired all the shares in its subsidiary company Chrisgate Holdings Limited which traded as a commercial property company owning and renting single offices and small office suites mainly within the Swindon Town Centre. This was the formation of the Chrisgate Group.

 

The Chrisgate Group no longer builds houses or carries out office refurbishments as it now trades as a property investment group letting the properties it owns to both commercial and residential tenants. The Group now has a balanced portfolio of commercial and residential properties to rent and this website lists those properties which are currently available should either small businesses or residential tenants need accommodation.

 

In recent years we have become specialists in the residential "Buy to Let" market and, although we rarely purchase properties ourselves these days, we do run a property sourcing service for both large and small property investors. Having some 60 Tenants of our own, this does give us a comprehensive knowledge of the property market from a landlord's point of view rather than an Estate Agent's or Letting Agent's point of view.
